Hispanic market’s longest running talent show to add Regional Mexican recording artist and reality TV star Chiquis to its celebrity panel of judges
BURBANK, Calif.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–#Americasgottalent–EstrellaTV, a leading Spanish-language broadcasting network in the U.S., announced today that it has signed on Regional Mexican recording artist and reality TV star Chiquis to join the ranks of its hit show “Tengo Talento, Mucho Talento.”
The new season of “Tengo Talento, Mucho Talento” will premiere on September 23, 2019. The show will continue to air Monday through Friday 8PM/ 7PM Central on the EstrellaTV Network.
Following in her famous mother’s footsteps, she is Regional Mexican superstar Jenni Rivera’s first born, Chiquis is also a recording artist and a TV reality sensation. She launched her singing career in early 2014, releasing her first single “Paloma Blanca” as a tribute to her mother. Her debut album, “Ahora,” which debuted #1 on the Billboard Regional Mexican chart, was released in June 2015, and in that same year she published her first memoir titled Forgiveness. In the spring of 2018, she released her second studio album titled “Entre Botellas,” which features duets with Lorenzo Mendez, Jenni Rivera and Juan Rivera.
Chiquis made her television debut in 2010 in her mother’s reality show I Love Jenni, followed by her own show Chiquis & Raq-C. Currently, she’s the star and executive producer of the fourth season of The Riveras, a reality TV show that follows her and her siblings’ daily lives and family adventures in the city of Los Angeles. As a businesswoman, Chiquis manages her beauty and cosmetics line “Be Flawless” and her fragrance “Reina” with excellent results, thanks in part to her enormous social media reach. Chiquis also established BossBee Nation, a charity foundation through which Chiquis continues to fulfill another of her greatest dreams: to help thousands of young people.
“We are delighted to have Chiquis join us this season because she is a beloved staple in U.S. Latin entertainment and also a very talented artist. We are certain she will bring a lot of sound advice and mentorship to our contestants. Chiquis was a natural choice for us because she has the personality and pizzazz to keep audiences engaged and excited about our talent competition,” stated Ivan Stoilkovich, Head of Production, EstrellaTV.
The Riveras are no strangers to “Tengo Talento, Mucho Talento.” The late Jenni Rivera made her debut as a celebrity judge on the show’s sixth season for the first time in 2012, along with actor-comedian Hector Suarez and radio programmer Pepe Garza. That same year, EstrellaTV Network aired a one-hour special tribute in honor of the singer’s participation on the show in December, the same month of her untimely passing.
Joining Chiquis this season on the distinguished panel of judges will be returning celebrity judges Pepe Garza, a leading radio programmer, composer, music producer and tastemaker in Regional Mexican music, recording artist Ana Barbara, and TV and radio personality Don Cheto, of the nationally syndicated Don Cheto Radio Network.
“Tengo Talento, Mucho Talento” holds auditions for thousands of contestants across the country in search of American’s next big Hispanic superstar. The judges and millions of viewers make one talented person’s dreams come true with a $100,000 grand prize, along with the career-launching support of EstrellaTV. To date, “Tengo Talento, Mucho Talento” continues to be the longest running talent competition program in Spanish-language television in the U.S.
